SAN ANSELMO

CALIFORNIA

  • PEAK MOTOR

  • 3 PANELS

  • 1,500 LBS

  • MULTI-SLIDE

The Challenge

San Anselmo required automation for an exceptionally tall 19-foot by 14-foot wide Sosoares OS three-panel multi-slide totaling 1,500 pounds (750 pounds per panel). The extreme height-to-width ratio—narrow panels rising nearly 20 feet—created unique stability challenges during operation. At such proportions, improper installation or motor calibration could cause panels to rock laterally during movement, compromising both operation and safety. The system demanded precise alignment and expert installation to ensure smooth, stable automation.

The Solution

In partnership with XL Glass for specialized lifting and installation and Lucent for door system coordination, we engineered a Peak motor in a vertical configuration for the dramatic tall panels. XL Glass's expert installation ensured perfect panel alignment and stability, creating the ideal foundation for motor integration. Our motor calibration and installation focused on eliminating any lateral panel movement during operation despite the challenging height ratio. The result: flawless automation of one of the tallest multi-slide installations, with 19-foot panels gliding smoothly and stably—proving that exceptional height presents no barrier when proper installation expertise and motor engineering unite.
